Privacy Policy

Account information — your name and email address when you sign up (including via Google sign-in), and your study preferences such as target band and exam date.

Your content — the essays and answers you submit, and the scores, feedback, and progress generated from them.

Payment information — when you purchase a plan, payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation and order details (such as a payment ID and amount) but we do not collect or store your full card details.

Usage data — basic technical and usage information (such as device/browser data, feature usage, and your IP address) to operate and improve the Service, maintain security, and prevent abuse such as evading free-usage limits. We store IP addresses only in a hashed form.

We use your information to: provide and personalize the Service (including generating scores and feedback); process payments and manage your plan; communicate with you about your account and support; maintain security and prevent abuse; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

We share limited data with trusted processors who help us run the Service, including:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• LLM Tools — AI processing of submitted essays to generate scores and feedback.
• PostHog — product analytics and session replay.
• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement.
• Email provider — transactional emails.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security, terms and privacy obligations.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for sign-in and core functionality. Analytics and session-replay technologies are only enabled after you accept them, and you can decline or withdraw consent at any time; you can also control cookies through your browser settings.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see “Your rights”). Your account is considered active until it is deleted.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@cuepen.tech.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the service providers listed above. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

The Service is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to consent to online services, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
